February 2026
Our first Quiz of 2026 took place on Wednesday 14 January. We had a very good attendance from “The Faithful” despite the rival television attraction of “The Traitors”.

Presenting the Quiz for us was Paul Lockett who tested our loyalties and our memories to the full with his probing mix of general knowledge and topical questions.

Our next Quiz will be on Wednesday 11 February 19:30 at The Staddy when our presenters will be Sally and Bob Brennan. Admission will be £1 per member. New members are always welcome. Just come along and join us and we’ll find you a team to join.

December 2025
At our meeting on Wednesday 12 November we had a very good turnout on a dark autumn night with eight full teams.
Many thanks from all of us to Sally Millmore for setting and delivering our questions on a wide selection of themes.

Leading our Quiz on Wednesday, 10th December, 19:30 at The Staddy, will be Gloria Coules and Wendy Whiteman.
That night will also be the occasion of our Christmas Buffet with around 30 members signed up.

November 2025
At our meeting on Wednesday 8 October we were pleased to welcome four new members and a good number of regulars.
Another closely fought contest resulted in a second consecutive tie-break. The tie-break question was “How many islands are there in The Philippines?” - nearest answer wins (ANSWER BELOW).

Many thanks from us all to Gerald Coules for presenting a varied and entertaining set of questions.

We started taking bookings for our Christmas Buffet at The Staddy on Wednesday, 10th December at 19:30. £10.00 per head.

We look forward to our questions at our next quiz on Wednesday, 12th November at 19:30 being presented by Sally Millmore. Admission will be £2.00 per contestant. New members are very welcome to come along and join in with one of our teams.

TIE-BREAKER ANSWER: 7,641 islands in The Philippines.

Tribute
We begin with a tribute to Bob Lee. Sadly, Bob passed away recently after a brave struggle with illness. Bob was our long-standing Quiz Leader. Not only did Bob organise the group but he set the questions for the majority of our quizzes.

We will all remember Bob not only for his leadership and his huge variety of questions but also for his humour and his jokes. Bob will be greatly missed by us all.
